Watch Warranties: Frequently Asked Questions
Why do some watches include a manufacturer's warranty and some do not?
All watches sold on Amazon.com come with a warranty. To provide customers with the broadest possible selection, Amazon offers watches that are sourced through multiple distribution channels, and some manufacturers may not honor the manufacturer's warranty for watches sourced through certain channels. For the watches that do not come with a manufacturer's warranty, customers will receive either a 2-year Amazon.com warranty, provided by Asurion or a seller warranty.
What is a manufacturer warranty?
A manufacturer warranty is a warranty offered by the manufacturer. Under a manufacturer warranty, the manufacturer is responsible for servicing the watch.
What is an Amazon.com warranty?
An Amazon.com warranty is a warranty offered by Amazon and provided by Asurion rather than the watch manufacturer. Under an Amazon.com warranty, for customers shipping a watch to a U.S. address outside of Florida, the warranty is provided by Asurion Consumer Solutions, Inc. For customers shipping a watch to an address in Florida, the Amazon.com warranty is provided by Asurion Consumer Solutions of Florida, Inc.
What is a seller warranty?
A seller warranty is a warranty offered by the seller of the watch rather than its manufacturer. Under a seller warranty, the seller is responsible for servicing the watch.
What does a warranty cover?
Each warranty is different, depending on the seller, manufacturer and watch brand. To learn more about a warranty for a particular watch, click on the "Warranty" link on the product detail page. If you have further questions about the warranty, contact the seller directly.
If a watch comes with a seller warranty, does it also come with a manufacturer warranty?
A watch sold with an Amazon warranty or seller warranty typically does not include a manufacturer warranty.
Will a manufacturer service a watch that comes with a seller warranty?
The Amazon.com warranty covers only service by the warrantor Asurion, not the manufacturer. A seller warranty covers only service by the seller, not the manufacturer. However, some manufacturers' service watches without manufacturer warranties, typically for an additional fee. Contact the manufacturer directly to find out more.
Who do I contact if I have questions about warranties?
For questions about the warranty on a specific watch, look at the warranty information on the product detail page. Contact the manufacturer or Amazon Customer Service, as applicable, using the contact information listed in the warranty documentation.
For general warranty questions, contact Amazon customer service.
